Kathleen Newman re-joined Central Maine Power Co. as director, government affairs.
Most recently, Newman served as deputy chief of staff and legislative policy director for the office of former Gov. Paul R. LePage. Prior to that, she was president and chief executive officer of Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine.
Newman previously served as government relations coordinator from the late 1990s through 2002.

Jordan Barnett-Parker

Day’s Jewelers has hired Jordan Barnett-Parker as a master goldsmith in its Waterville store.
He worked in apprenticeships over the years, and attended the Maine College of Art in Portland, the University of Maine, and the international masters’ programs in Austria and Germany.

Russel Oakes joined Maine Capital Group in Portland as vice president of commercial lending.
Oakes is focused on expanding private capital lending and investor base, as well as leading its commercial lending brokerage efforts.

Leonard is replacing the former president of the North American customer operations business.

Brenda Neal, a senior underwriter in personal lines at Patrons Oxford Insurance, has earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Neal joined Patrons Oxford in 2000 and worked as a customer service representative, assistant underwriter and underwriter before assuming her current role.
Rhonda Volkernick, a senior underwriter with Patrons Oxford, was awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter by The Institutes.
Volkernick joined the company in 1996 and has held positions of service assistant, assistant underwriter and underwriter.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Guy Cote was elected president of the Portland Water District Board of Trustees. Louise Douglas was elected vice president. David Kane was reelected as treasurer, and Donna Katsiaficas was reelected as clerk.
Cote has been a member of the board since 2009 and previously served as president and vice president. Cote is the past president at Sevee & Maher Engineers, where he worked for over 30 years. He represents Westbrook on the board.
Douglas has been a member of the board since 2007 and has served on several committees. She currently works at WEX. She represents Raymond and Windham.

Community Health Options was recognized by the American Psychological Association with its Psychologically Healthy Workplace Honor.
