SANFORD — Students work hard to improve their literacy skills, and their work — and that of their tutors at Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford — will be featured at the organization’s Twentieth Annual Student Recognition Dinner on Thursday, May 16, at the Town Club in Sanford.

Registration begins at 5 and the program begins at 5:30. p.m.

“The event includes recognition of students and tutors, a delicious dinner  and the chance to be inspired by the achievements of adult literacy students,” said director Ingrid Baily. “We are pleased to announce that David Jagger will be our guest speaker.”
