PROMOTIONS

Sue McCarthy
Katahdin Trust announced the promotion of Susan McCarthy to vice president, manager and commercial services officer for Maine Financial Group, an affiliate located in Scarborough.
McCarthy, of Biddeford, joined Maine Financial Group in 1993 as an administrative assistant. She was promoted to commercial services officer in 2012, assistant vice president in 2014, and vice president in 2017. In her expanded role, she will manage day-to-day operations and provide oversight of the sales and servicing of loan accounts.
Baker Newman Noyes announced the promotions of Nicholas Porto and Kristin Redstone to principals in the firm’s tax practice.

Kristin Redstone
Redstone, of Scarborough, joined the firm in 2003. She specializes in tax planning, compliance, and structuring of complex transactions for partnerships, S corporations and individuals, primarily in the real estate industry.

Nicholas Porto
Porto, of Scarborough, joined the firm in 2010 and is a leader in BNN’s tax-exempt organization practice, advising public charities, private foundations, museums, educational institutions and other nonprofit organizations.

Robertson Breed
Robertson Breed, senior vice president and portfolio manager at F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company, was named to the Barron’s list of America’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors for a second time.
Breed, who joined F.L.Putnam in 1991, is one of six financial advisors in Maine to make the 2019 list.
