Jack Hardy, the athletic director at North Yarmouth Academy since 2012, will retire at the end of June. Hardy was previously the athletic director at Greely and an assistant principal at Falmouth.

Kelsy Ross will take over as NYA’s new athletic director. Ross graduated from Greely and Roanoke College. She has served as the head coach of the Bates College women’s soccer program and was previously the school’s assistant women’s basketball coach.

“I have long known the excellence that defines North Yarmouth Academy and am thrilled to be joining the community,” said Ross, in a press release. “Inheriting the blueprint that Jack Hardy – one of the most well respected athletic administrators in our state – has created and being able to add my own twist, is both humbling and motivating. I look forward to getting started.”

“Athletics is an integral part of the NYA program and Kelsy stood out to the search committee from a very competitive and deep pool of applicants,” said NYA Head of School Ben Jackson. “We look forward to Kelsy’s leadership in the department and her support of NYA’s student-athletes,”
