POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Oscar R. Manson Jr. “JR”, 40, of Pompano Beach, Fla. passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2019. JR was born in Brunswick on June 11, 1978. His family and friends remember him as a loving kind man who enjoyed fishing, camping, renaissance festivals and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a contractor by trade and enjoyed time spent with his uncle Steve working on boats.
JR is predeceased by his grandfather, Leigh Mooers, grandmother Elmira Manson; brother, Justin Manson; uncle, Raymond Labbe Sr.; cousins, Christina Labbe, Tina Marie Mooers, James L. Mooers Jr.; and aunt, Holly Mooers.
He is survived by his mother, Kathaleen Mooers Bailey (Bobby), his father, Oscar Manson Sr. (Betsy); wife, Hope Wiggins; sister, Melissa Manson (Richard Ward), brother, Nathaniel Manson; daughters, Kayla Manson (Joneh), Brittany Luft (William), stepson, Jacob Smith; and grandchildren, Emma, Justin and Bella Luft.
He is also survived by nephews, Dalton and Dillon Palmer and Steven and Dustin Manson; grandparents, Robert and Vivian Wixom and Harold Manson Jr.; uncles, Michael Mooers, Bruce Mooers, James Mooers (Hong), Steve Mooers (Robin), Harold Manson III, aunts, Patricia Labbe (Mark Cormier), Susan Wixom, Vicky Mooers Himel, Norma Collins and Sandra Crouse (George); and numerous cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on June 9 in Florida. A celebration of life in Maine will be held at a later date.
