FALMOUTH — As part of the community’s continuing response to the opioid crisis, St. Mary’s Church will host a presentation on overcoming the obstacles to recovery at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 9.

This event is free and open to the public. Call Jennifer Gregg at 781-2665 or the church at 781-3366 for more information.

The guest speaker will be Margo Walsh, founder of MaineWorks, a company that focuses on providing jobs, housing assistance and more for people in recovery.

Walsh formerly worked as a recruiter for Goldman Sachs and her personal struggle with alcoholism ultimately led her to founding MaineWorks, a temporary-employment agency.

This presentation is the third in the opioid series at St. Mary’s. Organizers said they hope the event will help business owners and other community members better understand the challenges faced by those in recovery.
