LISBON — Noah Austin ripped a ground-rule two-run double in the big fourth inning and added a double in the sixth, also driving in two runs. Lisbon pounded out nine hits, with Austin going 3-for-4. Hunter Brissette and DJ Douglass chipped in a pair of base-knocks in the win. 

On the mound, Lucas Francis tossed a three-hitter with three strikeouts. 

OOB (7-11) scored its lone run in the third on an RBI double by Sean Pratt. Brad Houle threw five innings for the Seagulls, permitting seven hits and four walks. 

Greely 4, Morse 0

Connor Sullivan pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts to lift the second-seeded Rangers (13-4) over the seventh-ranked Shipbuilders (10-8) in a Class B South quarterfinal at Cumberland.

Evan Wyman had an RBI single, Brady Nolan added a sacrifice fly and Jake MacDonald scored twice for Greely, which will be home against Freeport in the quarterfinals Saturday.

Jackson Walker pitched five innings for Morse, giving up five hits and striking out four.

Softball

SOUTH HIRAM — Third-ranked Sacopee Valley opened up an 11-0 lead and held on for an 11-7 Class C South quarterfinal victory over visiting Lisbon. 

The Hawks improved to 13-4 and visit No. 2 Hall-Dale on Saturday in the semifinals. The Greyhounds, seeded sixth, finished 10-7. 

Riley Vacchiano had a double and a single with four RBIs to lead Sacopee Valley. Gabby Jameson-Martin, Lakyn Hink, Alexandra Black and Olivia Barriault each chipped in with a pair of hits.

Lisbon came back with three runs in the fifth inning and four in the seventh.

Morse-Oak Hill

Thursday’s Class B South quarterfinal was postponed due to poor field conditions.

The fifth-seeded Shipbuilders visit No. 5 Oak Hill today at 4 p.m.

The winner heads to No. 1 York on Saturday for a semifinal.
