WISCASSET – Marion Bailey, 99, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Avita of Brunswick.

She was born in Wiscasset on June 2, 1920, a daughter of George C. and Pearl (Dickenson) Grover. In 1938, she graduated from Wiscasset Academy and married Fernald R. Bailey in 1940. Marion was employed as a telephone operator in Wiscasset for thirteen years.

She was a lifetime member of the Woolwich Grange since 1936.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, Fernald R. Bailey in April of 1977; three sisters, Ruth Belanger, Marge Hasson and Rebecca Cunio.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Bleich of Ft. Myers, Fla., two sons, Jay Bailey and his wife, Paulette of Woolwich and Lyle Bailey and his wife, Lisa of Warren; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grover cemetery in Woolwich.
