LYMAN – Music, the company of friends, food and beer are all on tap Saturday as folks come together at Funky Bow Brewery on Saturday, June 22 to support the Maine Gold Star Family Memorial.

The event is a fundraiser to help in the effort to place a memorial to Maine’s Gold Star Families at Capital Park in Augusta. The 7- foot tall black granite monument is in the shape of a pentagon, with each side radiating out to the point of a star,

Ground was broken for the granite memorial in September.

Organizers say tickets for the Funky Bow event are $30, and includes cover charge, pizza and salad buffet. A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to the Maine Gold Star Family Memorial.
