SANFORD – The following people were recently arrested or charged by Sanford Police from Aug. 6 through Aug. 13:

• Brian Gary Bishop, 43, Kennebunk, was issued a summons on Main Street charging theft by unauthorized use of property.

• Brandon Lee Ainsworth, 23, East Rochester, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence on Lebanon Street.

• Mario Torres, 47, Sanford, was issued a summons charging assault on North Avenue.

• David Robert Tovey, 50, Sanford, was issued a summons charging assault on Perkins Court. Later the same day, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at the intersection of High Street and Island Avenue.

• Thomas P. Primmerman, 31, Sanford, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence following a crash on Gowen Street.

• William C. Plante, 29, Springvale, was arrested on a warrant on Bridge Street.

• Gordon Joseph Moran, 41, Sanford, was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault on Emery Street.

• Levi Larue, 30, Springvale, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief on Sunset Road.

Arrests and summons issued by police do not constitute guilt, they are a charge issued by a law enforcement agency and individuals are considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
