LITCHFIELD, N.H. – John A. Grant died at home in Litchfield, N.H. on March 10, 2020 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

John was born on July 21, 1942 in Syracuse, N.Y. the son of George and Elizabeth Grant. He grew up in Huntington Station, Long Island before joining the United States Air Force in 1960. He was stationed in Alaska and Topsham, Maine where he met his wife of 56 years, Noreen (Leonard) Grant.

Following his honorable discharge they moved to Litchfield, N.H. where they resided for the past 48 years. He was hired as an air traffic controller by the Federal Aviation Administration in Nashua, N.H. He worked there from 1970 through 1981 and then 1997 through his retirement in 2018. He was a lifelong, die hard PATCO union man.

John enjoyed ham radios, remote control airplanes, fishing, boating and working on his 1950 Ford coupe.

John is survived by his wife Noreen Grant; sisters, Carolyn Grant; and Mary Lou Batty, her husband Jim and their son JJ of Texas, his three children Staci Killgren of Litchfield and her husband Paul, Jodi Beauregard and her husband Timothy of Pelham and Ryan Grant and his wife Lori of Litchfield, N.H. He has seven grandchildren, Dr. Chelsi Beauregard, Elyse, Keston, Devin, Alana, Hunter and Ava; as well as a great-grandson, Tristan and another on the way. John and Noreen have been blessed with 45 years of unwavering friendship from Mike and Jerilyn McGivern of Litchfield.

Calling hours are Friday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home in Londonderry, N.H. There will be a short service at the funeral home after the calling hours followed by a reception at the California Room in Hudson.
