SACO — The Parks and Recreation Department is offering another in their series of free community meals for those 50 and older, to be picked up in the parking lot of the Community Center, 75 Franklin St. on Friday, Feb. 12.
The Deli and Company will prepare tomato, rosemary, and fennel-braised pork, served over creamy roasted red pepper penne pasta.
Those eligible merely need to sign up, and then drive in between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 to pick-up their meal. To sign up, email: ameier@sacomaine.org or call 207-283-3139, and punch in extension number 807. Reservations are accepted until the number reaches 250, organizers say.
People are asked to include their name and any other names of those in their household who would like a meal. If requesting delivery, note that in the voicemail, along with the address — delivery is available only to Saco residents. If someone else is picking up your meal, include their name in your sign-up. Upon arrival, Parks and Rec will have a staff member check names on the list and bring the meal to the vehicle.
