BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Robert Deeley

Illinois-based insurance provider National Catholic Risk Retention Group Inc. has announced that Bishop Robert Deeley has been elected chairman of the board. Since July 2019, Deeley, bishop of the Diocese of Portland, has served as the company’s episcopal moderator and as a member of the board. Deeley succeeds Father Jay Haskin of the Diocese of Burlington, Vermont, who has been chairman since 2006. Haskin will become chairman emeritus and remain a director and member of the executive committee.

Katherine Krakowka

Stacey Neumann

Portland law firm Murray Plumb & Murray has announced that Katherine Krakowka has been elected a director of the firm and Stacey Neumann has been added to its management committee. Krakowka, of North Yarmouth, is co-chair of the Maine State Bar Association’s bankruptcy section and is the Portland-area alumni chapter leader for Boston College Law School. Neumann is a director at the firm and chair of the employment and criminal/white collar defense practice groups. She serves on the Board of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and lives in Scarborough.

NEW HIRES

Jessie Rack

The Maine Timber Research and Environmental Education Foundation (Maine TREE) has hired Jessie Rack as director of education. Rack is responsible for sustaining and expanding Maine TREE’s capacity to meet the needs of schools, teachers, parents, students and other partners for environmental education programs connected to Maine’s forests. Previously, she coordinated the University of Arizona’s Supporting Environmental Education and Communities Program, providing environmental education outreach to Title I K-12 classrooms. She also interned as a science journalist for National Public Radio and worked as a writing professor at Princeton University.

Megan Trundy

Fontaine Family – The Real Estate Leader has hired Megan Trundy at its Auburn office. Trundy grew up in Poland and attended Edward Little High School. She graduated from Andover College with an associate’s degree in legal studies. She has worked as a paralegal and an admissions representative at Kaplan University. Trundy currently resides in Minot with her husband, Adam, a second-generation farm owner; sons Jacob and Samuel, two dogs and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor summer activities, traveling with family, kayaking and reading.

Carla Manganello

Carla Manganello, a commercial leasing specialist and realtor, has joined Falmouth commercial real estate firm RockWater Real Estate Group of Keller Williams Realty. Manganello has been a senior-level executive with more than 20 years’ experience with a major sporting goods retailer. Manganello’s success in commercial real estate has developed through her ability to cultivate strong relationships with local contractors and property owners, fostering teamwork, communication and effective real estate solutions.

Lauren Dattilo

Psychology Specialists of Maine, based in Brunswick, has hired Lauren Dattilo to its team of 18 psychologists. Dattilo will expand behavioral health services to adults, offering her expertise in ADHD assessment and treatment of trauma, depression and anxiety. She recently relocated to Maine from Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked as a clinical psychologist and member of the medical center faculty at Vanderbilt University.

Nick Anania

Nick Anania has been hired by Verrill to the law firm’s Portland office. Anania focuses his practice on transactions and corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, contracts and general business counseling. Anania, a Portland native, helped manage his family’s small business prior to law school. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bates College and his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law, where also has served as research and technical editor of the Maine Law Review and as a teaching assistant in the legal writing department.

PROMOTIONS

Kayla Dill

MMG Insurance Co. of Lewiston has promoted Kayla Dill to vice president of marketing and business development. Since joining the company in 2013, Dill has been a marketing executive, holding the position of  territory manager in Maine. Dill is a graduate of the University of Maine Business School and holds the CIC and AIC designations. She has been active with the Maine Young Agents committee and was recognized as Young Agent Committee Member of the Year in 2016. Dill resides in Scarborough with her husband, Jeremy, and daughters, Elyse and Cora.

Lee Corkhill

Lee Corkhill was promoted to group event director for Portland-based trade publication and conference provider Diversified Communications’ portfolio of technology events. Having been with Diversified for 26 years, Corkhill most recently served as group marketing director for technology events.
