HALLOWELL — Elena Palmer scored the game-winner on a feed from Molly Taub with 2:35 to play in regulation as Brunswick defeated Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Messalonskee 2-1 in girls hockey action Saturday.
Mia Klimash also scored for Brunswick (1-1-1) on an assist from Palmer.
Alicia Wall scored 5:55 into the third period to break a scoreless tie on a pass from Alaina Lambert for Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Messalonskee (0-2-1).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
OAK HILL 55, RICHMOND 19: Emily and Audrey Dillman each scored nine points to top a spread-out Raiders (3-1) offense in a victory over the undermanned Bobcats at Wales.
Paige Gonya scored eight points, Ari Thibeault had seven and Gabby Chessie and Audrey Bauer each had six for an Oak Hill team that had 11 different scorers.
Macy Carver scored a game-high 12 for Richmond.
