“It’s an honor to recognize the accomplishments and healthcare advisory expertise Denis has brought to our firm,” said Dayton Benway, managing principal at Baker Newman Noyes, in a written statement. “With his considerable industry knowledge and thoughtful client service, Denis has strengthened our practice at its core, making him a key part of BNN’s team. Denis is a trusted leader and I look forward to continuing to work with him to guide the firm toward new heights.”

According to Baker Newman Noyes, Houle has worked with clients in the healthcare industry for more than 23 years across the continuum of care. He specializes in cost reports, third-party reimbursement reviews, operational evaluations, Medicaid DSH, financial feasibility and regulatory appeals for both Medicare and Medicaid.

“The BNN team develops innovative, tailored strategies that enable our valued clients across New England to excel,” Houle said in an email. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my experience, in collaboration with the superior talents and resources at BNN, to continue supporting the goals of our clients and build upon our ongoing success.”

Houle has worked in the firm’s healthcare advisory group for more than 15 years. Before joining BNN in 2005, he worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a senior auditor.

Benway said that Houle’s experience working with critical access hospital clients has made him a recognized expert in the healthcare industry throughout New England.

“Denis’s experience and hard work have not only complemented but optimized our group’s services capabilities,” said Eric Wetherell, CPA, principal, and leader of BNN’s healthcare advisory group. “At BNN, we pride ourselves on consistently delivering strategic, first-class results, and Denis’ strong technical and client services expertise are a true testament to that.”

Houle earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Bryant College. Houle also serves as a regional executive for the New England region of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He lives with his family in Kennebunk.
