Anne T. Flavin

CAPE ELIZABETH – Anne T. Flavin, 77, of Ocean House Road died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Anne was born in Natick, Mass., on April 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Martin and Eva Power. She attended local schools in Massachusetts and graduated from Millis High School in the class of 1960.

On May 9, 1964, Anne married the love of her life, Dennis Flavin at St. Thomas Church in Millis, Mass.

Anne was never a person to remain idle and always had a desire to learn, which led her to follow many career paths. She was a broker selling real estate, a court reporter, sales representative for a major cosmetic company, property manager for an apartment complex, manager of a Tennis Club in Virginia. Her final career was that of a criminal investigator for a private law firm, in which Anne received several awards for her work in which she was instrumental in solving several major crimes.

In her spare time, Anne enjoyed playing tennis and golf, attending and performing in musical theatre, shopping and more than twenty years of traveling with Dennis to Florida where they would winter. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Her greatest love was the time she spent surround by her family and friends, whether throwing holiday parties or hosting family dinners.

Anne will be remembered as a loving, caring, joyful person who would always extend herself to be friendly with others.

Anne was predeceased by a son, Daniel S. Flavin; a sister, Louise Marthason; three brothers, Kenneth, Richard, and Edward Power.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dennis Flavin of Cape Elizabeth; a daughter, Alyson and her husband, Paul Geoffrion of Cape Elizabeth; two sons, Timothy M. Flavin of Florida, and Brian and his wife Heather Flavin of Florida; four grandchildren, Shawn and Megan Flavin of Florida, and Jessica and Ryan Geoffrion of Cape Elizabeth; several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours celebrating Anne’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, from 4-6 p.m., at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited at the chapel at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, followed by an 11 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Road, Scarborough.
