Patricia A. Malia

WELLS – Patricia A. Malia “Pat”, 79 years, of Wells, died Feb. 27, 2021 at York Hospital with her husband and daughter at her side.

Pat was born Nov. 10, 1941 in Westbrook, a daughter of Gerard and Marianne (Guimond) Letarte. On March 3, 1962 she married Richard E. Malia starting what would become nearly 60 years of love and adventure. Pat and Dick started their family, established their business, Malia Snax Sales, and a lifetime of travel.

Pat and Dick purchased a motor home and spent 14 years travelling the country on numerous adventures. She was excited to share that they spent 10 years in Key West in their motorhome. Pat was also an avid golfer and enjoyed ‘coaching’ her husband, Dick. She enjoyed boating and most importantly, loved her family.

Pat was social and civically minded and was active in the Moose Lodge, American Legion and the Elks where she volunteered her time in supporting their efforts in the Maine Children’s Cancer Program. She and Dick were also members of the New England Race Chasers and had fun at all sorts of racing events and sponsoring some local racers. They also enjoyed their membership with the Family Motor Coach Association.

Pat is dearly missed by her husband, Dick; her daughters, Debora Rich and her husband, Barney, of Wells and Dena Malia of Charlotte, N.C.; her grandsons, Corey Rich, Codey Rich and his wife, Katelyn, and Jeffrey Rich; her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Lincoln; and many friends.
