Four southern Maine players are among the six finalists for the Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball awards, given annually by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches to honor the top senior players in the state.

The finalists for Miss Maine Basketball are Emily Archibald of Kennebunk High, Camille Clement of Greely and Gemima Motema of Portland.

The Mr. Maine finalists are Parker Desjardins of Forest Hills, Payton Jones of Thornton Academy and Cash McClure of Maranacook.

The winners will be announced at 6 p.m. on March 19, in a virtual awards ceremony.

Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball are given to a student-athlete who has exhibited outstanding skills throughout their basketball career, for their team, through leadership and sportsmanship, and being a positive school and community citizen.

BRUNSWICK 58, MT. ARARAT 40: Brunswick Coach Sam Farrell recorded his 200th win as the Dragons (4-4) downed the Eagles (5-5) in Topsham.

Logan Brown had 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for Brunswick. Layne Brewer added 11 and eight rebounds, and Morgan Foster also scored 11 points.

Morgan Ruff led Mt. Ararat with 13 points. Jaden Lohr had eight.

GORHAM 48, PORTLAND 45: The Rams (6-1) hit 11 of 14 free throws down the stretch, including 4 of 5 by Adele Nadeau and 3 of 4 by Anna Nelson, as they held off the Bulldogs (6-2) in Gorham.

Nadeau finished with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Nelson scored 13.

Amanda Kabantu led Portland with 20 points, while Gemima Motema tossed in 17.

FALMOUTH 50, DEERING 36: Sloane Ginevan scored 18 points as the Yachtsmen (2-5) cruised past the Rams (1-6) in Portland.

Anna Turgeon added nine points.

Nyabhana Lia led Deering with 12 points, including three baskets from behind the arc.

MARSHWOOD 51, SANFORD 39: Shelby Anderson scored 13 points and Savannah Nashwinter added 12 to lead the Hawks (3-0) past the Spartans (2-6) in Sanford.

Sanford was paced by Tori Parker with 11 points and Riley Hebler with 10.

MASSABESIC 49, KENNEBUNK 41: Satyra Duong and Marissa Holt each scored 13 points for the Mustangs (4-0) in a win over the Rams (2-1) at Kennebunk.

Emily Archibald led Kennebunk with 29 points.

DIRIGO 43, SACOPEE VALLEY 28: Jayce Brophy scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half to pace the Cougars (5-2) past the Hawks (4-4) at Dixfield.

Dirigo took control with a 14-4 advantage in the second quarter, opening a 25-12 lead. Brophy and Page Lueders each had six points in the quarter.

Lueders finished with 11 points.

Jalyn Stacey led Sacopee Valley with 14 points.

WINDHAM 49, BONNY EAGLE 47: Nick Garrison and Kaleb Cidre each scored 12 points to lead the Eagles (4-3) to a win over the Scots (2-5) in Windham.

Garrison and Hayden Bilodeau each grabbed nine rebounds for Windham.

Bonny Eagle’s Jacob Humphrey hit five 3-pointers and finished with 23 points. Mason Ryan had 12 points.

GORHAM 54, PORTLAND 36: Grant Nadeau got seven of his 13 points in the second quarter as the Rams (8-0) outscored Portland 22-8 to take command against the host Bulldogs (1-3).

Bode Meader paced Gorham with 17 points, and Caden Smith tossed in 12.

Jesse Khamis had 10 points for Portland.

SCARBOROUGH 55, WESTBROOK 37: The Red Storm (2-4) allowed just four points in the second quarter as they took control against the Blue Blazes (0-6) at Westbrook.

Zander Haskell scored 18 points and Adam Lewis had 13 for Scarborough, which led 26-15 at halftime.

Ben Eugley, Caden Dow and Eldad Zahinda got seven points apiece for Westbrook.

SOUTH PORTLAND 58, CHEVERUS 46: JP Estrella poured in 25 points and grabbed 21 rebounds for the Red Riots (5-0) against the Stags (0-7) at Portland.

Mayen Ayuel added 15 points.

Seth Huntington scored 18 points for Cheverus, Dylan Morrison contributed 17 points, four steals and three assists.

MARSHWOOD 36, SANFORD 33: Andrew Perry led a balanced offense with 10 points as the Hawks (1-4) beat the Spartans (2-1) in South Berwick.

Sanford’s Ryan Robichaud scored 15 points.

Trevor Wozny added eight points for Marshwood.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 64, LAKE REGION 56: Wyatt Kenney finished with 17 points to lead the Patriots (3-2) over the Lakers (1-6) in Gray.

Anthony Prescott added 11 points and Terell Claxton had 10.

Liam Grass paced Lake Region with 21 points. Evan Willey scored 14.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 52, ST. DOMINIC 39: Chris Hamblett had 22 points, five assists and five steals to pace the Panthers (6-3) in a win against the Saints (2-7) at Yarmouth.

Elliot Oney contributed eight points and 14 rebounds, and Bryce Poulin had eight points and 12 rebounds.

Gabe Carey led St. Dom’s with 14 points. Noah Cyr scored 11 and Alex Willings had 10.

DIRIGO 71, SACOPEE VALLEY 54: Charlie Houghton recorded 37 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to lift the Cougars (6-3) over the Hawks (2-5) in Hiram.

Trenton Hutchinson added 15 points for Dirigo on five 3-pointers.

McGwire Sawyer led Sacopee Valley with 22. Preston Howland added 18.
