Rankin joins force

Westbrook Police Chief Sean Lally earlier this month welcomed his department’s newest police officer, Candace Rankin.

Rankin comes to Westbrook from the Garden State – New Jersey – where she worked for a medical examiner’s office. Her work included going to scenes, conducting interviews, working with investigating officers and assisting in examinations.

Rankin has traveled the world while backpacking through Europe. She said she is looking forward to competing in the New York City Marathon in the future.

Westbrook Little League baseball and softball registrations for ages 4-17 is running through March 31.
