WESTBROOK – Betty R. Lavery, 90, passed away April 10, 2021. She was born in Westbrook on August 22, 1930 to Floyd and Lucienne (Brunelle) Smith.
Betty began her schooling in Westbrook and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Portland. She met her husband, Donald Lavery, at a dance while he was in the military. The majority of Betty’s working career was at S. D. Warren Paper Mill in Westbrook. She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, crocheting and camping.
She is survived by her son, Floyd Lavery and his partner, Leslee of Sebago, daughter, Kathleen ter Meulen and her husband, Anton of West Bath; grandson, Ryan Lawrence and his wife, Andrea of Epping, N.H., granddaughters, Meghan Lavery-King and her husband, Daniel of Brooklyn, N.Y., Erica Migia and her husband, Andrei of Belmont, Mass., and Emily Lavery of Austin, Texas; great-grandson, Keagan Lawrence of Epping, N.H., and great-granddaughter, Alexa Lawrence of Epping, N.H. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lavery.
A small family graveside service will be planned at a later date.
