WINDHAM — Ashton Crowell led off the seventh with a triple to start a three-run rally, and Kalvin Camire added a key double as Biddeford pulled out an 8-6 baseball win Friday against Windham.

Crowell, Camire and Alex McAlevey each finished with two hits as Biddeford improved to 2-0.

Brady Afthim led Windham (0-1) with three hits, including a solo home run in the first. Colby Raynor hit a double and a single.

FALMOUTH 4, BONNY EAGLE 0: Dom Tracy pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts for the Yachtsmen (2-0) in a win over the Scots (0-1) in Standish.

Sam Kidder went 2 for 3 with an RBI double.

Jacob Humphrey had two hits for Bonny Eagle.

CAPE ELIZABETH 7, BRUNSWICK 3: Colin Smith had three hits and Hayden Webber pitched six strong innings as the Capers won their season opener at home against the Dragons (0-2).

Smith hit a run-scoring single and Jake Tinsman added an RBI double in the fifth, when the Capers took the lead for good.

Webber struck out six before being relieved by Curtis Sullivan to start the seventh.

THORNTON ACADEMY 14, CHEVERUS 4: Cody Bowker went 4 for 5 with three runs scored and pitched three scoreless innings for the Golden Trojans (1-0) in a win over the Stags (1-1) in Portland.

Henry Lausier added three hits, including a triple, and two RBI. Brayden Williams also drove in two runs with a triple and a single, and John Rohner had three RBI.

SACOPEE VALLEY 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Tristan Croteau pitched a seven-hitter and had two hits and three RBI for the Hawks (2-1) against the Rangers (0-2) in Hiram.

Croteau, who struck out six and walked two, put Sacopee ahead 2-1 with a two-run single in the first. He also hit an RBI single and scored during a four-run fourth.

Matt Ford had three hits and scored Traip’s lone run on a single by Emerson Brown.

LAKE REGION, POLAND SPLIT: Winning pitcher Dylan Sellinger keyed a four-run fourth inning with a two-run double as Poland (1-1) rallied for a 6-4 win and a doubleheader split against visiting Lake Region (1-1).

Sellinger pitched four innings and struck out three.

Jacob Smith and Logan David each had a double for Lake Region.

In Game 1, Hayden Trembley went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and Lake Region overcame an early 3-0 deficit in a 10-4 victory.

Brady Sandberg was the winning pitcher.

Poland’s Mitchell Bean took the loss but notched three hits. Teammate Brody Keefe hit a double and drove in two runs.

KENNEBUNK 8, BERWICK ACADEMY 3: Landon Schwartzman collected three hits and Luc Gaucher belted a three-run homer as the Rams won their season opener against the Bulldogs (1-1) in Berwick.

Gaucher’s home run in the third inning gave Kennebunk a 6-0 lead. He also hit a double. Schwartzman had a double and two singles, with three runs scored.

Oliver Leonard pitched a five-hitter with nine strikeouts for the win.

Spencer Aubin hit a two-run homer in the sixth for Berwick.

NOBLE 5, WELLS 3: Chris Morton had three hits for the Knights (1-0), who scored three runs in the bottom of the first and never trailed against the Warriors (1-1) at North Berwick.

Maksim Masse had a double and a single for Noble, while Connor McCabe and Maison Mathews each chipped in with a pair of hits.

LACROSSE

PORTLAND 19, WESTBROOK 2: Sam Gerber tallied seven goals and added two assists for the Bulldogs (2-0) as they handled the Blue Blazes (0-2) in Westbrook.

Tobey McCachran finished with four goals and four assists. Drew Leonard and Ben Littell each scored twice.

Gabe Martin scored both goals for Westbrook.

KENNEBUNK 10, SOUTH PORTLAND 8: Donavyn Cochran had three goals and an assist to lead the Rams (1-1) past the Red Riots (0-2) in South Portland.

Andrew Washburn and Eli Soule each chipped with a pair of goals.

Cullin Adams scored three goals for South Portland, Brady Demers had two goals and two assists, and Brady Frank contributed a goal and an assist.

CAPE ELIZABETH 18, YARMOUTH 3: Tiernan Lathrop powered the Capers (3-0) with five goals and an assist in a win over the Clippers (1-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

Oscar Francowicz added four goals, Nick Boudreau had two goals and three assists, and Nick Laughlin also scored twice.

Killian Marsh had two goals for Yarmouth.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, LAKE REGION 2: The Patriots (2-0) were paced by Ben Pierce with four goals as they downed the Lakers (1-1) in Gray.

Matt Gilman and Nick Stanley chipped in a goal apiece. Sam Tibbetts made eight saves.
