The Royal River Grill House is offering three very interesting options for Mother’s “Day May 9: Sunday brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., dinner 4-9 p.m. in either their stylish dining room or outside on the heated and covered patio, or a special takeout brunch for four to six people. The takeout meal includes crab and asparagus quiche, both blueberry and lemon poppy seed muffins, a salmon and fruit charcuterie board including bagels, and a Bloody Nary kit with everything but the alcohol. The Broad Arrow Tavern at the Harraseeket Inn is serving a special a la carte menu along with their regular menu all day, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special items include chicken caprese ($25) and lobster-stuffed haddock ($28) entrees, cream of asparagus soup and wedge salad, with lemon raspberry tart for dessert. The Black Tie Company/Union Kitchen has a large a la carte menu especially created to celebrate mom. Everything from shrimp cocktail to braised leg of lamb to a brunch pastry box can be seen at facebook.com/TheBlackTieCompany/. Order by May 5 for pickup on May 8 at One Union Wharf, Portland, 761-6665.

Wine Wise Events has a virtual Mother’s Day brunch for two at $175. The price includes food, two bottles of wine, materials and delivery or contactless pickup. The menu will be created by Chef Ilma Lopez of Chaval in Portland and the wines will be curated by Erica Archer of Wine Wise. All details are at winewiseevents.com.

The Saltwater Grille has a hybrid activity to celebrate mom. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., brunch will start with a buffet of fruits and pastries, followed by served entrees of your choice and ending with a dessert buffet. Entrees include various Benedicts, steak and eggs, and pancakes. The buffets will be served by wait staff to adhere to safety protocols. Reservations required at 799-5400. The Muddy Rudder, 1335 U.S. Route 1, Yarmouth, will offer a three-course served menu with choices for each course. $37 for adults and $12 for a children’s menu. Service is 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and reservations are required at 846-3082. A takeout menu is also available.
