I am a long-term print and electronic subscriber.
I am a senior citizen.
I am also appalled that you printed a story about obscene license plates without giving any examples (“Maine secretary of state looks to rein in obscene license plates,” May 5, Page A1).
How utterly prudish and parental. The article cites the tags as “unprintable.” Really?
If you are going to pretend to be a newspaper in 2021, and be of actual use to your subscribers, get rid of this prissy Victorian sensibility – or the Portland Press Herald will go the way of the buggy whip!
