Portland voters will choose nine residents to review and recommend changes that could alter the city’s basic government structure, including the roles of the mayor and city manager and the makeup of the City Council.

There are four at-large seats. Additionally, one member will be elected by voters in each the city’s five City Council districts. The stories below, written by Staff Writer Randy Billings, provide more information about the candidates.

Check the Maine voter information lookup service to find out what district you live in.

More information about when and where to vote also is available on the city’s website.
