Team Xtreme (10-1)

Xtreme completed another strong week with three victories bringing their record to 10-1.

May 17 
Xtreme 9 vs. Cumberland North Yarmouth 7

Hattie Clark and Addison Deroche split time on the mound to pull off a close win. With a combined effort they struck out 15, walked five and gave up four hits.

At bat the team put up 10 hits with repeat hits by Sadie Collins, Faith Stoddard and Mary McCartney. Deroche hit a home run.

May 19
Xtreme 7 vs. Portland 4

Westbrook had three pitchers take the mound for the victory over Portland. Abilasha Jain, Hattie Clark and Addison Deroche shut down Portland’s offense with five walks, 12 strikeouts and four hits.

May 22
Xtreme 20 vs. Gorham 10

Xtreme headed to Gorham and debuted Vivian Anderson on the mound for two strong innings. Abilasha Jain and Avery Campbell joined forces with a combined effort of three strikeouts and three walks and gave up eight hits.

Avery Childs led the team at bat with two singles and a double. Faith Stoddard had two singles and Sadie Collins had a triple.

Team Cavallaro (7-3)

May 17
Cavallaro 7 Portland 5

Westbrook LL Cavallaro 12U opened up the scoring in the first inning with two runs when Emma Boulette homered and notched three runs in the second on a Boulette single.

Elyse Broad earned the win, allowing zero hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking zero. Avery Campbell threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Cavallaro totaled eight hits. Boulette, Emily Hodge and Elyse Broad all collected multiple hits for Westbrook. Boulette went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

May 20
Cavallaro 12 vs. Scarborough 1

Cavallaro won big over Scarborough Majors with Emma Clukey pitching the team to victory. Clukey lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four. Elyse Broad and Avery Campbell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cavallaro had 12 hits, three each from Broad and Emily Hodge to lead, along with multiple from Charlotte Krantz and Emma Boulette.

May 22
Cavallaro 17 vs. Gorham 4

Cavallaro’s defeat of Gorham Majors-White Rock was thanks in part to Charlotte Krantz, who drove in five runners. Krantz drove in runs on a single in the first and a double in the second.

Cavallaro tallied six runs in the second inning. Brooke Boclair, Avery Campbell, Emma Boulette and Krantz each had RBIs in the frame. Gorham scored four runs in the third inning, but Cavallaro still managed to pull out the win.

Campbell pitched the team to victory, surrendering four runs on two hits over two innings and striking out five. Elyse Broad threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Boulette smacked two home runs on the day, one in the fourth and one in the fifth.

The team racked up 14 hits in the game. Krantz and Campbell each had three to lead and Annabelle Adams, Boulette and Emma Clukey each had multiple hits. Three players stole at least two bases, with Krantz leading the way with three.
