YARMOUTH — Jack McGrath hit a single to drive in Will Cox with one out in the bottom of the seventh, and then Gibby Sullivan lined an RBI single as Yarmouth rallied to beat Poland 3-2 Wednesday in baseball.

Dylan Sellinger had a sacrifice fly for Poland (6-8) to break a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth.

Sullivan finished with two hits for Yarmouth (12-3), along with Cox and Matt Robichaud.

FALMOUTH SWEEPS PORTLAND:  Sean Dillworth hit a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning and Sam Kidder added a grand slam in the fifth as the Yachtsmen (11-2) topped the Bulldogs (3-10) 13-2 in five innings to secure a doubleheader sweep at Falmouth.

Brady Coyne went 4 for 4 for Falmouth, and Gus Ford added a solo homer, his second home run on the day.

Ford’s three-run home run gave the Yachtsmen an early lead as they took Game 1 in five innings, 10-0.

Ben Wilson threw a four-hitter, striking out four for Falmouth.

Reegan Buck had a double for Portland.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4, WAYNFLETE/NYA 3: Caleb Micklon lined a double to drive in a run in the bottom of the second and later scored, and the Raiders (11-4) held off a late rally to defeat the Flyers (7-5) at Fryeburg.

Isaiah Day had a pair of singles to lead Fryeburg. Starting pitcher Noah Grant allowed three unearned runs on two hits, striking out three and walking one.

YORK 11, NOBLE 5: Alex Neilson blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the third as the Wildcats (10-4) downed the Knights (6-7) at York.

Hayden Henriksen had a pair of hits, including a double, for York, and Austin Mather and Joe Neal also had two hits apiece.

Aidan O’Connor hit an RBI double for Noble in the second inning.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 8, MORSE 6: The Panthers (3-3) scored three runs in the top of the first, including an RBI single from Ethan Reed, in beating the Shipbuilders (3-9) at Bath.

Reed and Isaac Simmons finished with two hits apiece for Medomak Valley.

Ty Knowlton led Morse, blasting solo home runs in the fourth and seventh. Gabe Aucoin finished 3 for 4.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4, LAKE REGION 3: James Erickson hit a walk-off single to lift the Seagulls (5-8) over the Lakers (4-10) at Old Orchard Beach.

LEWISTON 5, MT. ARARAT 1: Josh Murphy pitched a two-hitter, striking out nine, as the Blue Devils (10-3) beat the Eagles (4-8) at Topsham.

Murphy also had four hits, including a solo home run in the sixth inning. His catcher, Keegan McLaughlin, had a double and a two-run single.

Shea Farrell had both hits for Mt. Ararat and starting pitcher Ryan Robertson scored the only Eagles’ run in the fourth inning by stealing home.

BELFAST 13, OCEANSIDE 4: Tommy Walker hit a two-run home run, an RBI single and a double to power the Lions (9-4) past the Mariners (6-8) at Rockland.

Eamon Goscinski chipped in with a three-run home run. Ethan Porter had two singles and four RBI. Chase Sanders added three singles and two RBI.

Austin Chilles hit a three-run home run for Oceanside.

BIDDEFORD 11, CHEVERUS 2: Chantelle Bouchard lined an RBI single to spark and three-run first inning, then Madison Dineen hit a bases-clearing double and Baylor Wilkinson added a two-run single to fuel a five-run second as the Tigers (11-3) cruised past the Stags (1-10) at Biddeford.

Wilkinson finished 2 for 3, driving in five runs. Dineen and Hannah Gosselin each had a single and a double, and Laura Perreault added a pair of hits.

MASSABESIC 6, KENNEBUNK 5: Casey Morais had a pair of hits, including a triple, as the Mustangs (4-9) beat the Rams (8-6) at Kennebunk.

Katie Boissonneault, Emily Anthrim and Ella Donovan each had two hits for Massabesic.

Julia Pike hit a sacrifice fly and Matteson Orendorf had an RBI single in a three-run sixth for Kennebunk that cut the margin to a run.

Emily Hutchins had three hits for the Rams.

POLAND 18, YARMOUTH 2: Kaylin O’Leary hit a home run and a double and Khloe O’Leary added a double and two RBI as the Knights (7-4) beat the Clippers (1-11) at Yarmouth.

Atlantis Martin struck out five for the win.

Yarmouth’s Lucia Jordan struck out six in the loss.

WESTBROOK 14, PORTLAND 13: Maddy Brown and Allie Petry each had multiple hits,  Brown going 3 for 4, as the Blue Blazes (7-5) topped the Bulldogs (6-7) at Westbrook.

Grace Wallace was the winning pitcher for Westbrook, striking out four.

SKOWHEGAN 15, BANGOR 1: Annabelle Morris homered and doubled to lead the River Hawks (11-0) to a win at Bangor.

HALL-DALE 13, DIRIGO 2: Zoey Soule and Lilly Platt each had three hits, including doubles, and the Bulldogs used a six-run third to take control against the Cougars at Dixfield.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 4, LAKE REGION 3: Jessica Connors scored two goals and an assist as the Flyers (5-3) edged the Lakers (5-5) at Portland.

Sherry Kilee and Lollie Mills-paugh also scored.

Bella Russo scored two goals for Lake Region, which also got a goal from McKenzie Sievert.

MARSHWOOD 15, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Ella Manero had four goals and an assist to lead the Hawks (9-2) over the Rangers (0-7) at South Berwick.

Megan Wentworth chipped in with two goals and four assists for Marshwood, which also got three goals from Eva Moreland. Ali Arrigoni scored two goals and assisted on one.

YARMOUTH 14, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 5: Katelyn D’Appolonia’s five goals and one assist pushed the Clippers (6-1) to a victory against the Panthers (6-4) at Yarmouth.

Anna Thornton had three goals and an assist, with Natalie Teare adding two goals and one assist.

Maggie Holt led NYA with three goals and an assist.

WELLS 11, SANFORD 6: Nora Stevens scored four goals for the Warriors (4-6) as they handled the Spartans (1-6) at Wells.

Jaiden Greaves and Ruby McMinis each scored a pair of goals for Wells, and Elisa Robie, Anna Woodward and Vivian Brousseau also scored.

Alai Chase had three goals for Sanford. Kassie Plant chipped in with two goals and Emerson Tolpin added a goal.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

PORTLAND 19, DEERING 2: Sam Gerber had seven goals and five assists as the Bulldogs (6-3) rolled past the Rams (0-8) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Ben Littell recorded three goals for Portland, Tobi MacCachran had two goals and four assists, and Calos Braceras and Drew Leonard each provided two goals and an assist.
