If you support police and law and order, the Republican Party has left you. They just voted to block the completely bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, where many police officers were brutalized, even after the grieving mother of Officer Brian Sicknick, who died after defending the Capitol, implored Republicans to support the commission.

If you are in the middle class, the Republican Party has left you. They voted for tax cuts that overwhelmingly favored the rich, yet recently voted against the American Rescue Plan, which is extremely popular among voters across party lines, put money in the pockets of the middle class and is doing much more to end the pandemic and fix the economy for the middle class. And now the Republicans are proposing a watered-down infrastructure bill, paid for not by asking the rich to pay their fair share but by raising gas taxes and fees on the middle class.

If you don’t like “cancel culture,” the Republican Party has left you. They just canceled Liz Cheney, a strong conservative, from their leadership team in the U.S. House of Representatives because she is telling the truth about the November elections.

If you value truth over The Big Lie and wild conspiracy theories, the Republican Party has definitely left you.

Time and again, the Republicans have displayed their true colors and are certainly not on the side of the large majority of us who are honest, reasonable, patriotic, hard-working middle-class Americans.
