Ronald “Ronnie” P. Granholm

DURHAM – Ronald “Ronnie” P. Granholm, 80, of Durham, passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

Ronnie was born in Westchester, N.Y., a son of Arthur and Dorothy (Peppard) Granholm. He grew up in Pownal and attended North Yarmouth Academy.

Ronnie worked at Central Maine Power for 25 years, and in his free time, he enjoyed many hobbies, such as playing golf, making and flying model planes, building stained glass art, and caring for bonsai plants.

After retiring, he became a Stone Mason at Anderson Landscaping, building stone walls and patios. Rightfully so, he earned the name “Rock Hard Ronnie.”

Ronnie joins his late wife of 43 years, Barbara J. (Rich) Granholm. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, Arthur “Art” Granholm; grandson, Derek Rosengren, and grandson, Christopher Tizon.

He is survived by younger brother, Richard Granholm, Kevin Granholm, sister, Cathy Strout; daughter, Lynda (Granholm) Rosengren and spouse Dale, son, Paul and spouse Kim, stepdaughters Denise Tizon and spouse Robert, Karen Anderson and spouse Robert, Jennifer MacDonald and spouse Trevor; his grandchildren Kylee, Jordan and Logan Granholm; Brianna Conlon, Kendra and Nolan Anderson; Amela and Chase MacDonald; and Leilani Tizon.

All his family and friends will deeply miss him.
