EDMUNDS TOWNSHIP — An 11-year-old boy was killed Wednesday morning when a vehicle skidded across U.S. Route 1 and collided with the vehicle in which he was a passenger, state police said.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene in Edmunds Township, which is in Washington County. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a hospital, troopers said.
Part of the highway was shut down for several hours. The crash remains under investigation.
