SOUTH PORTLAND — Mad Horse Theatre Company is a few days away from the premiere of “Waiting for Alice” by Allison McCall and directed by Chris DeFilipp.
“Waiting for Alice” takes place at the Mad Tea Party where the Mad Hatter, March Hare and Dormouse all await the long-awaited arrival of Alice. The play will run Feb.3 through Feb. 27 starting. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., 5 p.m. on Sundays. The show will run for 90 minutes without an intermission. Content warnings include themes of grief and mental health.
COVID protocols will be in place. For the safety of all audience members and crew the Mad Horse requires masks inside the building for all members. At the box office, proof of vaccination and booster, or proof of a negative test are required. The theater has also reduced seating capacity to allow all audience members to spread out in the theater. Reserve a seat on the Mad Horse website or visit the box office.
