Ordering a steaming bowl of Maine Coast Monkfish Stew at Frontier Café in Brunswick will help local food programs. Sande Updegraph / For The Forecaster

Guests of The Frontier Café at Fort Andross in Brunswick invite guests to try a new stew and help address food insecurity at the same time.

The cafe has expanded its light offerings to include Maine Coast Monkfish Stew, made using sustainably harvested monkfish caught by Maine fishermen. All proceeds from the sale of the stew benefit Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association programs that supply local fish to schools, food banks and community organizations that address food insecurity. You can also enjoy goodies from Wild Oats Bakery, local craft beers and Speckled Ax Coffee in the café, which is open from noon-8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 14 Maine St.
