Maddie Ripley of Oceanside, Savannah Eastler and Hayleigh Martz of Camden Hills and Delani Rector of Morse were among the champions Wednesday at the girls’ individual wrestling state championships, hosted by Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln.

Ripley, a sophomore who fell just short in her bid to become Maine’s first female state champion at the open state championships on Saturday, claimed the girls’ title at 113 pounds with a technical fall against Lilly Lebel of Mt. Ararat/Brunswick.

Eastler won the deepest weight class, emerging from a field of eight girls at 120 pounds. She won all three of her matches by fall, beating Izzy Lamb of Washington Academy in the final.

Martz, one of six girls in the 160-pound class, earned a 12-6 decision over Bucksport’s Elizabeth Bernier in the final.

Rector took the 152-pound title with a 19-4 decision over Naomi Bragg of Bucksport.

Other champions were: Emma Shaw of Skowhegan, at 106 pounds; Molly Sipple of Piscataquis, 126; Anna Plessinger of Fryeburg Academy, 138; Paige Anderson of Bucksport, 182; and Kloee Moore of Old Town, 220.
