Russia has invaded Ukraine, and the Biden administration says it’s going to institute the most severe monetary sanctions ever against the Putin regime. However, our energy supply is so important, the administration is still importing 700,000-plus barrels of Russian oil daily.
With oil selling at more than $100 dollars per barrel, we’re providing $70 million per day to Russia’s war chest. This doesn’t make any sense to me, but I guess President Biden’s offensive to kill the domestic production of American fossil fuel energy means we’ve got to get it somewhere else.
Considering the current circumstances, Russia should be the last place we’re purchasing our oil.
