Linda Ilene Procurot Ford

GORHAM – Linda Ilene Procurot Ford, 83 passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 from advanced Alzheimer’s. She was born in Lynn, Mass. the daughter of the late Antonio and Evelyn Elizabeth Procurot graduating from Wakefield High School and Mt Ida College. Following graduation from college, Linda married Robert S. Flint, Sr. and moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. where they had their two sons.

Eventually they returned to Scarborough, and had their daughter. She married John Ford in July of 1981 and settled in Gorham for 41 years until her passing. Linda retired from Casco Bay Eyecare and then substitute taught in the Gorham school district and volunteered with the Foster Grandparents at the Narrangansett School.

Her hobbies included crafts, candle pin bowling which she began in her teens to 2017 and yard sales where she was always looking for a “bargain”. She enjoyed walks especially on the beach in Phippsburg where she and John had a camp for many years. She could always be found watching the grandchildren playing sports, singing at concerts and school musicals. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy!!

She and John traveled to Florida many times throughout the years as well as a few other trips.

Linda volunteered for the Boys and Girl Scouts, Little League, Bruce Roberts for several years, VIP’s at Gorham Police Dept. and volunteered at the Gorham schools in her grandkids classrooms.

She is survived by her husband, John G. Ford; son, Robert S. Flint, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis Flint, son, Ronald S. Flint and his partner Tricia Stelline Neat, daughter, Laurie DeLuca, step daughters, Julie Ford, Linda Spydell and Jennifer Ford; sister Carol Varney; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Jean Procurot. She was predeceased by brother, Jon Procurot.

Linda’s family would like to thank the staff at the Gorham House for the wonderful care that was extended to her during her time there.

Visiting hours will be held Friday July 8 from 4-6 p.m. at the Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. Burial will be private.
