Dentons Bingham Greenebaum has hired Hannah King as a partner in its cannabis law, litigation and corporate practice groups. King, who is based in Portland, brings extensive experience advising hundreds of cannabis businesses to her practice at Dentons.

John Zinn

John Zinn recently joined Back Cove Financial as a financial adviser. Zinn is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine School of Business.

Ryan FitzGerald

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty has hired Ryan FitzGerald of South Portland, who brings experience as a real estate investor and local business owner.

Roderic Melanson was hired as director of sustainability and environment for the city of Bath. Melanson previously worked for the Topsham Planning Office, where he focused on natural resource planning for 10 years, and served as director of planning, codes and development for eight years.

Girl Scouts of Maine has hired Mara Moorhead as chief executive officer. Moorhead most recently worked as chief development officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine. Prior to that, she worked with United Way of Greater Portland.

Southern Maine Community College has hired Jeff Schools as its new director of communications. Schools brings several years of experience as a newsroom manager, leading the digital content team at NEWS CENTER Maine.

PROMOTIONS

Travis Noyes

Travis Noyes was promoted to chief operating officer. Noyes led the engineering division for nearly 15 years.

Scott Miller was promoted to municipal infrastructure director. Miller has nearly 40 years of municipal infrastructure experience.

Brian Milisci was promoted to land development director. Milisci has 36 years of experience in civil engineering projects and had previously worked at a large engineering firm.

Scott Anderson Brian Fitzgerald

Verrill Dana LLP has promoted Scott Anderson to managing partner. Anderson held a variety of leadership positions, including six years on the firm’s executive board and compensation committee. Most recently, Anderson served as the firm’s practice group coordinator.

Jake MacGillivary was promoted to associate creative director. MacGillivary was previously senior art director and creative services manager. He led in the creation of numerous award-winning projects including a COVID-19 response campaign for MaineGeneral Health.

Vicky Ayer was named senior media manager. Ayer joined Rinck in 2013. Her primary clients include the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Maine Housing Authority and Lamey Wellehan.

Cathy Brezinski

Cathy Brezinski was promoted to senior traffic manager. Brezinski was previously traffic coordinator and has been with the agency since 2015.

Nate Perkins was promoted to senior systems and technology manager. Perkins joined Rinck in 2015 and previously worked as senior systems administrator.

Jacob Bartlett was promoted to director, surveying and data capture. Bartlett will work with other senior leadership to provide the most comprehensive survey and data capture services in Maine.

Nick Elliston

Nick Elliston was promoted to survey services lead, transportation. Elliston brings experience working with DOTs, other transportation agencies, and transportation engineering firms.

Tom Low

Tom Low was promoted to survey CADD coordinator. Low will focus on the development and maintenance of our Survey CADD processes, standards and training companywide.

Kira Harmon

Kira Harmon was promoted to virtual design and construction project manager. Harmon will oversee all 3D modeling/graphics services including project scoping, estimating and overall project/client management.

Brian Williams

Brian Williams was named the geomatics field services lead for the company. Williams will be responsible for oversight and planning of all sUAS flight operations, 3D terrestrial laser scanning projects, and the associated standards and procedures for both services.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Jeremy Fischer, leader of Drummond Woodsum’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice group, was recently elected chairman of the board of trustees of the Loring Development Authority. Fischer specializes in litigation and transactions involving distressed commercial matters. He was recognized as one of the top bankruptcy/restructuring attorneys in Maine by Chambers USA.
