Patricia K. Kinkade

SOUTH PORTLAND – Patricia K. Kinkade, 88, of South Portland passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Maine Medical Center, with family and loved ones by her side.

Born in Orono on Feb. 26, 1934 to Bernard and Dorothy King, Pat attended Orono High Schools and Husson University. She was married to Donald F. Doucette and was mother to Donald Doucette, Jr. She later married Charles E. Kinkade with whom she had four loving daughters. The family lived on the Northshore of Massachusetts and Sheepscot until his death in 1982. In 2014, Pat married William C. Thomas. The two lived in Portland and Lincoln.

Throughout her life, Pat was devoted to her work, managing Kinkade and Company Insurance for over 25 years. She later served as office manager and bookkeeper at Cloutier & Toothaker real estate, where her career evolved into a myriad of treasured lifetime relationships. In recent years, she served as president of the Women’s Literary Union in Portland. An avid bridge player, she enjoyed many wonderful friendships with her bridge-playing companions.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children Donald Doucette, Jr. (Prescott, Ariz.), Patricia H. Kinkade and husband Eric Young (Kennebunk), Sheila Kinkade (Baltimore, Md.), Susan Kinkade (Sarasota, Fla.), Nancy Kinkade and partner Joe Brown (Lincoln); grandchildren Charlotte P. Kinkade (Falmouth), Paige H. Gurnee (So. Portland), and Sarah Hawthorne (Sarasota, Fla.); great-granddaughter, Chloe Gurnee; and her most beloved friend, Crandall Toothaker (Portland).
