Regarding the Aug. 11 Press Herald story, “Some Maine Republicans join party’s attacks on FBI search of Trump property,” for once I agree with former Governor LePage.
I think he’s absolutely correct when he says “This is not what America is about … this is not the Constitution of the United States … we are being taken over by the oligarchs, the elitists.”
Unfortunately, LePage’s lengthy sojourn in Florida must have affected his memory because this is what he should have said following the Jan. 6 insurrection, brought to us by Donald Trump and LePage’s fellow Republicans.
So, thank you, former Governor LePage, for your thoughts. They are just a little late and misdirected.
