Stephen King was recently on Yahoo Entertainment talking politics (on former President Donald Trump). Mr. King in recent years has taken to doing this quite often.

Why folks successful in their careers then gaining world recognition for such think we care one second about their political views is beyond me. Besides life experiences and reading the same sources of information any citizen can, what do they really have to base their now-portrayed expert opinions? Does anyone really think Mr. King has a clue what a struggling family, minimally supported working folks and paycheck-to-paycheck citizens really need for help?

Yes, he is extremely generous with his financial support and fosters many programs, but that does little for the sustainable changes for the better that the people need. If he wants to insert politics in his dark and sometimes perverse books, I have no issue with that, but using fame to get national attention to discuss what essentially is his opinion put forth as factual political guidance to follow is an insult to those of us who think for ourselves.
