Portland band SeepeopleS will be releasing its eighth album, “Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World,” on Oct. 8.

The song “This Dying World” is a little over two minutes long and, with its vocal effects and haunting cello, piano and backing vocals, is a psychedelic look at a grim future for planet Earth.

It was produced by the band with help from Will Holland (The Pixies, Fall Out Boy) at Chillhouse Studios in Boston.

Lead singer and guitarist Will Bradford has been at the helm of the band for more than two decades. Dana Colley from Morphine and Vapors of Morphine plays baritone sax and bass clarinet, and Devon Colella plays cello on the song.
