Two new bicycle new repair stations at the Route 88 and Town Landing/Johnson Road intersection and on Route 1 in front of Falmouth Shopping Center were celebrated with a ribbon-cutting Aug. 8.

The stations include repair tools and an air pump for cyclists to fix their bikes on the go. The Recycling and Energy Advisory Committee recommended funding to encourage using bicycles as an alternative means of transportation to cars.

Representatives of Bicycle Coalition of Maine, Portland Velo Club, East Coast Greenway and Casco Bay Trail Alliance joined Falmouth town councilors at the opening event.
