The York County Vaccination Clinic will begin offering the Monkeypox vaccine starting Saturday, Aug 27.

York County Emergency Management Agency  officials said in Maine, Monkeypox vaccine is available to people of all ages who meet at least one of these criteria: recipients must be gay, bisexual, or other men who have sex with men; transgender, gender non-conforming, or non-binary individuals who have sex with men; or individuals who have been exposed to someone with monkeypox in the past 14 days who were notified of the exposure by a public health agency or by a person with monkeypox.

Shots are administered on a drop-in basis.

The clinic, operated by YCEMA,  is open 1-6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

York County Vaccination is at the Center for Shopping, at 1364 Main St., (Route 109) in Sanford.
