Carter Engelman struck twice in a 5-minute span of the second half, lifting Windham to its eighth consecutive boys’ soccer victory – 2-0 over Biddeford in its regular-season finale Monday in Windham.

Luke Cunniffe set up Engelman’s go-ahead goal, and Owen Weatherby assisted on the second goal.

Callum Labonte made 13 saves for Biddeford (2-10), which has two games remaining. Owen Gaulrapp and Tate Robinson combined for three saves for Windham (10-4).

BONNY EAGLE 7, NOBLE 1: Lucas Drinkwater recorded two goals and an assist, and Ryder Owens added a goal and two assists as the Scots (2-10) rolled past the Knights (0-12) in Standish.

Jacob Schmader, Carson Roberts, Finley Whiting and Matthew Chamberland also scored for Bonny Eagle.

Noble’s Declan Winston converted a penalty kick in the second half.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

FALMOUTH 3, PORTLAND 0: Elise Gearan tallied two goals and the Navigators (8-4) extended their winning streak to four by shutting out the Bulldogs (6-6) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Josie D’Andrea opened the scoring in the 13th minute, sending a shot from the top of the box just beyond the outstretch hand of keeper Lucy Tidd and just inside the post.

Gearan made it 2-0 just three minutes later, taking advantage of a failed clearing attempt. She added to the lead with a breakaway goal early in the second half.

Abigail Pausman earned the shutout with eight saves. Tidd finished with nine saves before she was replaced late in the game by Linda Nicholson (one save).

NOBLE 4, BONNY EAGLE 0: Riley Couture and Lila Fiel each scored two goals to lead the Knights (8-3) over the Scots (0-11) in Standish.

Jenna Baxter was credited with two assists and Ella Anania added one.

FIELD HOCKEY

FREEPORT 3, YARMOUTH 2: Emily Groves had two goals, including the winner in double overtime, as the Falcons (7-4-1) edged the Clippers (6-5) in Yarmouth.

Ava Gervais also scored for Freeport. Sophie Smith had both goals for Yarmouth.

MT. ARARAT 2, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Grace Keleher and Alex Graf scored less than four minutes apart in the second quarter, sending the Eagles (8-5) past the Red Eddies (3-9-1) in Auburn.

Piper Cohen made six saves to earn the shutout. Kasey Smith stopped 11 shots for Edward Little.

LAKE REGION 4, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Kasey Johnson netted a pair of goals in the first half, leading the Lakers (4-6-1) past the Raiders (5-6) in Naples.

Johnson opened the scoring late in the first quarter, assisted by Emma Nadeau, then made it 2-0 off a penalty corner late in the second quarter.

Emily Reardon, who assisted on the second goal, got one of her own early in the third quarter. Reannah Dingley tallied the final goal late in third, with an assist from Mallory Smith.

Reiyn Hart needed just two saves for the shutout. Fryeburg’s Rayna Wales made one save.
