Bath Housing and the Patten Free Library will host an event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, exploring the history of local housing from WWI to the 1970s. The free event, titled “History of Housing in Bath: Looking Back, Thinking Forward,” is in person at the library and also live on Zoom.

Mary Kate Kwasnik, archivist and special collections librarian at Patten Free Library, and Debora Keller, executive director of Bath Housing, will be featured speakers.

“There is so much talk about housing right now and so many opportunities ahead of us,” Keller said. “It will be great to ground this work with a historical context.”

This is the first in a series of planned conversations about housing between Bath Housing and the greater Bath community.

Registration is required for Zoom only. Visit patten.lib.me.us/event/history-of-housing/ for more information and to register.
