Spooky happenings

The Bridgton Recreation Department is offering some creepy outdoor Halloween fun at the Town Hall on North High Street on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22, from 5-9 p.m. See if you can brave the Haunted Walk, then battle through Zombie Laser Tag! Tickets are $6 for the walk and $16 for both the walk and laser tag, and can be obtained through bridgtonmaine.org/bridgton-recreation. Proceeds will benefit recreation department programs.

Don’t miss out

I want to remind readers about two events mentioned in the previous Inside Bridgton: the “Clear the Book Shed” final book sale at the Bridgton Public Library from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 22, (rain date: Sunday, Oct. 23, at the same time), and the Music on Main free concert at 144 Main St. from 6-9 p.m. the same day, featuring “ultimate disco” by Motor Booty Affair (bring a chair; no pets or coolers; food and beverage vendors on site).

Outdoor market winding down

The Bridgton Farmers Market will take place as usual on Depot Street (behind Renys) on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 29, showcasing all the great local food and crafts it has become known for. Beginning in November, the market will move indoors to its new winter location in the Masonic Hall at 166 Harrison Road (Route 117). Hours of operation will be determined later, but be sure to continue shopping at the market and supporting our local producers through the winter months.
