The Press Herald’s reporting of the Portland Charter questions sways heavily to changes that will not happen.
It would be more beneficial to the public to learn about things that did pass so that they will know what changes to expect in city government. Clean elections, citizen review of police and an ethics commission are all substantial achievements that passed with overwhelming support and will have significant benefits for our city government. They should be reported as such.
