PITTSFIELD — A driver who lost control of his SUV earlier this week on Interstate 95, causing it to roll over, suffered injuries not considered life-threatening after he was thrown from the vehicle, according to officials.
Robert Stilphen, 40, of Lincoln was traveling northbound with two passengers Monday at about 5 a.m. when he lost control of the 2004 Ford Escape at mile marker 146 in Pittsfield, Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Thursday.
Stilphen was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected when the SUV rolled over, Moss said.
Two others with him, a 34-year-old woman from Lincoln and a 28-year-old man from the Bronx in New York, suffered minor injuries.
All three were taken to Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield for treatment.
The extent of Stilphen’s injuries was not known Thursday.
