A Saco woman was found safe a few hours after police issued a silver alert Saturday.

Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, shared the alert shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Victoria Rich had not been seen since approximately 8 p.m. at J.C. Penny at the Maine Mall in South Portland. Moss said Rich is 24 years old and has intellectual disabilities. She had been dropped off at the mall and did not have a car.

Eight hours later, Moss shared that the alert had been canceled. She said Rich was safely located, but provided no other details about how or where she was found.
