World Cup Watch Party

The FIFA World Cup is underway in Qatar, and here’s a chance to watch the U.S. face England in a Black Friday match for the ages. It’s a Group B game, which is the first round of matches in the World Cup. Kickoff is at 2 p.m., and the game will be shown on a giant screen. Bundle up in your favorite soccer gear and get ready to cheer your head off. Food and warm beverages will be available, and there will be plenty of camaraderie, no matter which of the lads you’re rooting for. Bring your own chair, and when the game ends, stick around for the tree-lighting festivities.

“Parentally Challenged” is what comic Juston McKinney is calling his Black Friday show in Sanford. Once a York County sheriff’s deputy, McKinney found his true calling in making people laugh and has appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, Amazon Prime and “The Tonight Show.” For this PG-13 performance, he’ll be taking a deep, hilarious dive into the challenges of raising kids.

Got some old stuff you’d like to unload? Bring it by from 1-5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cost is $1 per item and a 20% commission if it sells.

For everyone out there who remembers the glory days of Zootz nightclub in the ’80s and ’90s, this night’s for you. The Portland hot spot closed its doors years ago, but Kris Clark, who made the club the stuff of legends, has pulled together a reunion that’s happening at Space Gallery. The memories will be epic, and the music will be spun by Chris Gauthier, FK!1 (Fred Kennedy), DJ Mike Said, DJ Deb Dufresne and Dereloid. You’ll dance to techno, house, new wave, industrial and more.
