I concur with the points made by Robert S. Howe (“Letter to the editor: Nuclear isn’t the answer, a robust energy mix is,” Nov. 23). It seems to me that any building and parking lot that is not in the shade of CO2 storing trees should have solar panels on them.
Next time you fly, look at all the the wasted energy resources below. Ask managers of big-box stores when they plan to install solar panels on their buildings and above their parking lots. Covered parking lots could also be more convenient for shoppers during inclement weather and hot sunny days, as well as to channel rainwater into aquifers.
As the electrical grid is updated, it seems that decentralizing the grid could make the whole grid more resilient and stronger.
