Dennis F. Hurder

WINDHAM – Dennis F. Hurder, 80, passed away at his home on Nov. 29, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Boston on June 26, 1942 to Walter and Phyllis (Hurlburt) Hurder.

Dennis graduated from Don Bosco High School in 1960, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army in Alaska as an auto mechanic until 1964. He married Gail Ethel Martin in 1973 and together they raised a family and celebrated 49 years of marriage. Dennis spent most of his working career as a floor covering salesman. As a young adult Dennis enjoyed weightlifting, martial arts (earning a black belt in Kenpo karate), camping, fishing and golf.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Janice Shiltz; and brothers, Fred Hurder, and Jerry Hurder

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail; sons, Jason Hurder and wife, Delina, Derek Hurder and husband, Chris McLaughlin; daughter, Robyn (Hurder) Alves and husband, Clyde; grandchildren, Everett Hurder, Nolan Hurder, and Hudson Alves; and brother, Michael Hurder.
